A day which I have endured for the past 11 years without fail. The day I'll be carrying shopping bags containing gifts neatly parceled in wrapping paper with little notes practically screaming "HAPPY TEACHER'S DAY!" (note the exclamation marks). This year was the bow I would take.2009-the final year, the final stint of me experiencing Teacher's Day.This year it was celebrated on a much lower scale but I still feel the same atmosphere as if it were celebrated as grand as a sultan's dinner. The morning started off with me,Nicola,Diana, and Monica hunting for teachers to present our gifts to.(I make them sound like sultans with the term 'present') Later,it was time for the prefects to get to work. The afternoon session students are worse than monkeys! They refuse to listen to their own session prefects so us machas in blazers took the opportunity to scare them and bully them..HAHA!I think some afternoon girl cried(not bullied by me though..another macha's work)Then we all took pictures..PIC 1:The ever serious prefectorial board(no smiling) PIC2-the lenient prefectorial board which cares for the students(a little smiling).PIC3-Macha gang pose..our coats unbuttoned and arms hanging off each other..
Then came the opening act, where the prefects have to present the cake to the teachers. It started with a gand of mafias getting their hands on a top secret item.Another mafia gang goes against that mafia gang(yea its so complicating that I still cant simplify it to this very day)But eventually the 'top secret item' gets to the principal. And what is it???
HAHAHAHAHAHA! The pineapple..our greatest treasure! If you still dont get the joke, let me point it out to you.Our school is Convent Bukit Nanas and our greatest treasure is the pineapple.Get it?Then Pn Raj asked me to return her file to her table in the staffroom. And guess what happened?I was chased by....
Yes..monkeys..but thankfully Pak Din came to my rescue..GO PAK DIN!!Then came the prefect's performance during the concert. And yes..we managed to pull it off.We described the many types of teachers(single ladies and those elvis fans). We gave the PJK teachers ideas on how to keep students active in class(dancing to viva la vida by Coldplay) and we all united for the final dance to Baha Men's "Can you move it like this?" led by Pavithra herself..hehe..
All in all,it was an unforgettable Teacher's day.It was my last and I plan to cherish it forever. To the juniors, dont take time for granted.Your time is CBN is limited.CBN is a special school. We do things differently and this makes us unique. This is why Pn.Siva says CBN-ers are a cut above the rest.Live up to the CBN name and appreciate the fatc that you are called a CBN-er.
Signing out..
